School Involvement

Participating schools will be eligible for Environmental Award money based on their implementation of activities as described in the School Resource guide.

SCHOOL RESOURCE GUIDE

Freeman (1984) states that an organization can be characterized by its relationships with the organization’s stakeholders. Feeeman (1984) defined a stakeholder as “any group or individual who can affect or is affected by the achievement of the organizations objectives” (p 46) (from Byrd, pg. 7).

Schools can be considered stakeholders as they are controlled by public party's decisions. They involve the teachers who care about learning, students who are influenced by their surroundings and parents who support the cause of learning and a community.
